Stop rereading the same texts. See the pattern clearly.
ChatMend analyzes text conversations for attachment signals, conflict cycles, emotional tone, repair patterns, and next-step guidance — so you can understand what the conversation has been trying to tell you.

ChatMend on your phone
The app reads a conversation the same way this site does, and keeps your history on the device rather than on our servers.
It also has a free Quick Look that runs entirely on your phone — no network call at all, so that conversation genuinely never leaves it.
ChatMend SMS Backup is a separate free app that exports your Android texts to a file you can analyse here, or restore later.

Anything we cannot read reliably is refused rather than guessed at — a parser that invents speaker names from a file it does not understand produces a confident analysis of nothing.
When the texts feel confusing, the pattern usually isn't.
People reread conversations trying to answer questions they can't resolve alone:
“Are they pulling away, or am I reading into it?”
“Am I being anxious, or are they actually inconsistent?”
“Why does this keep turning into the same fight?”
“Is there repair here, or just more confusion?”
ChatMend turns emotional noise into readable patterns.
Three steps from confusion to clarity
Paste a conversation or upload a file. Let the AI do the rest.

ChatMend Analyzes the Pattern
The engine examines attachment signals, emotional tone, conflict cycles, repair attempts, and communication shifts.
Review a Clear Insight Report
See the summary, evidence, confidence level, and next-step guidance — ready for reflection, conversation, or therapy.
A conflict cycle, mapped
ChatMend traces how a single moment moves through the relationship — from a vulnerable message to withdrawal, escalation, and repair.

ChatMend plots attachment tendencies across two axes — anxiety and avoidance — then maps the dynamic between two people. The classic pursue–withdraw loop becomes something you can actually see.
- One partner pursues connection when anxious
- The other withdraws to manage overwhelm
- The distance triggers more pursuit — the loop repeats
Clear insights, not vague advice
Every finding is grounded in your conversation data and backed by attachment theory research.
Attachment Style Read
See patterns that may suggest secure, anxious, avoidant, or fearful-avoidant tendencies — presented as signals, not diagnoses.
Relationship Pattern Map
Visualize the pursue-withdraw cycles, emotional bids, and response patterns that define the dynamic between two people.
Emotional Triggers
Identify moments where emotional tone shifts — what topics cause distancing, defensiveness, or shutdown in the conversation.
Repair Capacity
See how often repair is attempted after conflict, who initiates it, how long disconnection lasts, and whether the relationship returns to safety.
Evidence-Based Insights
Every finding links to specific text patterns. No vague interpretations — see the evidence behind each signal.
What To Do Next
Get practical, grounded conversation guidance based on the actual pattern — not generic relationship advice.
Not another compatibility quiz
Most chat-analysis tools hand you a personality type and a compatibility percentage. Those make good screenshots. They are not measurement.
We use a real instrument
Our attachment work is grounded in the ECR-R, the Experiences in Close Relationships–Revised scale used in actual relationship research. It measures two dimensions — anxiety and avoidance — because that is what the evidence supports, rather than sorting people into types.
Why not a personality type?
Type-based systems like MBTI are popular but have well-documented reliability problems — retake the test and many people get a different result. For something as consequential as your relationship, we would rather give you a measured read with its confidence stated than a label that sounds certain.
What an insight looks like
A sample report based on an anonymized conversation.
This conversation shows strong connection and emotional interest, but also repeated ambiguity after vulnerable moments. The main pattern is not lack of care — it is inconsistency after emotional closeness.
Moderate — based on 847 messages
“Consistent 3–5 hour response delays following vulnerability-based messages, paired with warm re-engagement the following day. This pattern appeared 12 times across the conversation.”
Consider naming the pattern gently: “I notice when I share something personal, you sometimes go quiet for a while. I'd like to understand that better.” This opens dialogue without blame.
Behind the insight
This is a fictional example. Your conversation text is processed to generate your report and isn't retained afterward — saved results live in your account, and you can delete them anytime.
Beyond the analysis
Practical tools to help you communicate better — coming soon.
Tone Check
Paste a message before you send it. See how it may land before you hit send.
“Why do you always do this?”
Repair Builder
Get a suggested repair message after conflict — tuned to your dynamic, not a template.
Suggested repair
“I got defensive earlier. What I actually meant was that I missed you.”
Boundary Builder
Draft a boundary grounded in the evidence from your conversation history.
Boundary script
“I need a reply within the day, or I’ll assume we’ll talk later.”

Your question
Not therapy. A clearer place to begin.
ChatMend helps organize the emotional evidence in your conversations so you can bring clearer questions into therapy, coaching, journaling, or a difficult conversation.
Prepare for therapy with a clearer relationship timeline.
Share a summary instead of trying to explain months of texts from memory.
Identify recurring patterns before the next argument.
Turn confusion into better questions.
Built for conversations you'd never want exposed
Most chat-analysis tools keep your conversations and use them to train their models. We built ChatMend so that we simply never hold them in the first place.
Your conversation is never stored and never used to train anything. It is transmitted once, analyzed, and discarded. If you create an account your report is saved so you can return to it — reports quote short excerpts as evidence — and you can delete them whenever you like. In the mobile app, history never leaves your device at all.
Your Conversation Is Never Stored
It is sent once, analyzed, and gone. We keep no copy of your messages — there is no archive of your conversations to breach, subpoena, or leak.
Never Used To Train Anything
Your words never become training data, for us or for anyone else. We explicitly instruct our AI provider not to retain them.
No Ads. No Data Sales.
We do not monetize emotional vulnerability with ad targeting, and we do not sell or share your data with brokers.
You Can Delete Everything
Reports are yours: saved only if you sign in, deletable any time, and kept on-device only in the mobile app.
